Our StorySweet Carolina Pie LLC began with a simple love for baking and a passion for bringing people together through food.
What started in a home kitchen—baking pies for family gatherings, holidays, and special occasions—quickly grew into something bigger. Every recipe carried meaning, rooted in tradition, comfort, and the joy of sharing something homemade.
As more people began requesting orders, Sweet Carolina Pie evolved from a passion into a small business with a mission: to create fresh, high-quality desserts that taste like home and make every moment feel special.
Today, each pie is still made with care, using quality ingredients and time-honored recipes inspired by Southern tradition. From classic favorites to seasonal specialties, every dessert is prepared in small batches to ensure freshness, flavor, and attention to detail.
At Sweet Carolina Pie, we believe desserts are more than just sweets—they’re part of life’s celebrations, memories, and everyday moments of joy. Our goal is to serve our community with desserts that feel warm, comforting, and made just for you.
The mission for Sweet Carolina Pies is about more than just great pies. By continuing to conduct ourselves with the utmost integrity and by anticipating the best interest of our valued customers, the company’s sweet success is certain.
Deborah Smalls, Founder & CEO, natural affinity for baking started at an early age in South Carolina as she would follow her Grandmother Sarah Smalls from the garden to the kitchen. She experienced the joy of home cooking and baking foods. Recognizing the blessing of a culinary gift, she now shares it through her own home baked goods made for the comfort of the body and soul just like it was with her Grandmother Sarah’s kitchen.

We would like to give special acknowledgement to the sister who believed in Deborah’s dreams: Barbra Jones; the first woman who bought her pie: Ms. Harriet; and Diana Blackwell, who encouraged us to go forward no matter what the circumstances. As they provide words of wisdom and sisterly love, I’ll continue providing the comfort!
